Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Genogenie, the genogram tool and website at genogenie.com (the "Service"), operated by Genogenie ("we", "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
The service
Genogenie lets you create, edit, and export genograms, including with the help of AI. The core tool is free to start. We may offer paid plans that add features such as additional projects, premium templates, or clinical features; the details and pricing of any paid plan are described where it is offered. We may change, add, or remove features over time.
Your account and responsibilities
If the Service requires an account, you are responsible for the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials secure. You agree to provide accurate information and to be responsible for activity that happens under your account. Let us know promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to break the law or to infringe the rights of others.
- Upload content you do not have the right to use, or that is harmful, abusive, or unlawful.
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
- Use the Service to misuse other people's personal or health information.
Your content and ownership
The genograms and information you create or upload are yours ("Your Content"). You keep all rights you have in Your Content. To run the Service, you grant us a limited license to host, store, process, and display Your Content solely to provide the Service to you, including generating exports and, where you use them, AI features. You are responsible for Your Content and for having the rights needed to include any information about other people.
AI features
Some features use AI to help build a genogram from the information you provide. AI output can be incomplete or incorrect and may need editing. AI features are provided for convenience and are not professional, medical, legal, or clinical advice. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any genogram before you rely on it, submit it, or use it in a professional setting.
Our intellectual property
The Service itself, including the Genogenie name, logo, software, and site content (other than Your Content), is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not give you any right to use our branding without our permission.
Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Genogenie will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or if we need to for legal, security, or operational reasons. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as ownership, disclaimers, and liability) will continue to apply.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If you continue to use the Service after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable where Genogenie operates, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except where the mandatory law of your country of residence gives you additional rights. Where possible, we will try to resolve any dispute with you informally first, so please contact us before taking other steps.
